雷富民，男，生於1965年，祖籍陝西省渭南市，博士，研究員，博士生導師；中國科學院大學教授，必威精装版app西汉姆联 動物進化與係統學重點實驗室副主任，鳥類學研究組組長。國家傑出青年科學基金項目獲得者，國家高層次人才計劃重點領域創新團隊負責人，入選百千萬人才工程。

　　1994年於必威精装版app西汉姆联 獲得博士學位。1996年晉升副研究員，2000年晉升研究員。1998,10 - 2000,2 訪問美國華盛頓大學、加州科學院和美國密西根大學。發表論文、論著300篇（部），其中Science,   Lancet, National Science Review, PNAS, Nature Communications, Molecular Biology and Evolution, Molecular Ecology, Global Ecology   and Biogeography, Diversity and Distribution, Journal of Biogeography等SCI源刊論文160篇。

　　目前主要從事鳥類係統演化、譜係生物地理、特殊環境適應的比較基因組以及禽流感溯源與病源生態等方麵研究。今後的研究重點將集中在探討：鳥類特有化與多樣性生物地理格局的形成與維持機製；鳥類譜係分化與新種形成機製；鳥類適應環境變化的比較基因組及適應性進化機製。

• 2000年曾獲第四屆“鄭作新鳥類科學青年獎”。
• 2003年“黑臉琵鷺”獲得第9屆華表獎。申請者為首席科學家。
• 2004年“黑臉琵鷺”獲得第24屆金雞獎。申請者為首席科學家。
• 2005年獲得“第九屆青藏高原青年科技獎”。
• 2006年獲得“第一屆中國動物學會青年科技獎”。
• Science論文獲“科學前沿―中國卓越研究獎·2008”。

　　目前主持國家科技部科技基礎性工作專項、國家自然科學基金重點項目（2項）、中國科學院先導專項課題以及領域前沿項目等。聯合負責推動全球鳥類基因組重大研究（B10K）計劃。
