現為必威精装版app西汉姆联 動物進化與係統學院重點實驗室節肢動物多樣性與資源研究組組長，國家動物博物館副館長兼標本館館長，《中國動物誌》編委會編委，《Zoological Systematics》編委會編委，中國昆蟲學會蜱蟎專業委員委員，中國動物學會蛛形學專業委員會委員。
　　主要從事蛛形綱蜱蟎亞綱的係統分類學研究。合作發表蜱蟎亞綱50新種、10新記錄屬、33新記錄種；對一些科、屬進行了世界性或全國性的訂正研究，並對一些形態特征進行了首次描述；開展我國室內致敏蟎類物種調查，指導研究生發現我國致敏蟎類一新紀錄種。
　　先後主持或參加國家自然科學基金委、科技部、教育部、中國科學院等各級部門研究項目二十餘項，發表研究論文80餘篇，參編專著2部。
　　今後的研究重點將集中在蜱蟎甲蟎亞目的係統分類、形態與功能研究，並對與人類生活密切相關的農業蟎類、醫學蜱蟎類等開展多樣性與資源調查研究。
　　指導在讀博士研究生1名、碩士研究生2名，已畢業碩士研究生5名、聯合指導博士研究生1名。
　　

學習簡曆、工作簡曆：
　　1987年至1991年在陝西師範大學生物係學習，獲理學學士學位；
　　1991年至1994年在陝西師範大學必威在线网址 攻讀碩士學位，獲理學碩士學位；
　　1994年至1997年在必威精装版app西汉姆联 攻讀博士學位，獲理學博士學位；
　　1997年至2007在必威精装版app西汉姆联 動物進化與係統學研究中心工作；
　　2003年1月至2004年1月前往加拿大農業及農業食品部ECORC研究中心進修；
　　2003年6-7月參加美國俄亥俄州立大學(Ohio State University)舉辦的第53屆蜱蟎學夏季培訓班(53rd Annual Acarology Summer Program)
　　2008年至今在必威精装版app西汉姆联 國家動物博物館工作。

　　研究重點將集中在蜱蟎甲蟎亞目的係統分類、形態與功能研究，並對與人類生活密切相關的農業蟎類、醫學蜱蟎類等開展多樣性與資源調查研究。
